Analysis:

Multiple projects are undergoing simultaneously to make Hong Kong compatible for this overhaul. For instance, a $2 billion fund has been provided to install the charging facilities in the local car parks, while negotiations have been initiated among different stakeholders to popularise the use in electric cars and vessels. This sustainable technology is proven to be effective in the reduction of air pollutants and can undoubtedly enhance the local air quality.

Looking Forward:

Places like Taiwan, Norway and the UK have pursued similar schemes with success, demonstrating that the progression towards electric cars is a viable and sustainable method. The hope is that Hong Kong can adopt such policy effectively, making significant strides to reduce pollution in the region.
